She has owned and managed multiple companies, including Atlantslax ehf. and Vekurð ehf., and has been actively involved in the Icelandic Spinal Cord Injury Institute (Mænuskaðastofnun Íslands) since 2010.

With a degree in marketing and export studies from the University of Iceland, Soffía has worked across various industries, from hospitality and seafood exports to bookkeeping and business consulting. She has held key roles such as CEO, financial manager, and office director, handling payroll, financial planning, contract negotiations, and implementing accounting systems for multiple organizations.
