With a long career in road safety, traffic regulation, and motorsport governance, Ólafur Kristinn Guðmundsson brings extensive expertise in policy advocacy and risk management to ISCI. As Technical Manager for EuroRAP in Iceland (2005-2024) and a contributor to iRAP safety assessments in Tanzania and Canada, he has played a key role in improving road safety and injury prevention.



Beyond public safety, Ólafur has held high-level positions in international motorsports, serving as an FIA International Steward in Formula 1, European Rally Championship, and GT racing, helping to set higher safety standards worldwide. Since 2015, he has been an advisor and board member at ISCI, using his background in policy and research collaboration to advocate for spinal cord injury prevention and global recognition as a health priority.
